MTG deck-list cleaner
Paste a deck list. Get consistent, copy-ready text, with duplicates combined and sections preserved.
1. Paste your deck list
One card per line: quantity, then name. Maximum 100,000 characters.
2. Your cleaned list
This formats text. It does not verify card names, Commander rules, deck legality or Arena availability. Check the result before importing it elsewhere.
From messy list to clean deck text
Lists copied between deck builders often mix quantity styles, repeat cards or include printing details. This cleaner normalises supported entries into quantity Card Name lines. Duplicate names are combined within each section, ignoring case.
How to use it
- Paste your list, with a quantity before each card name.
- Optionally choose alphabetical sorting, then select Clean deck list.
- Review any flagged lines. Copy or download the result after checking it.
For example, 4x Lightning Bolt and 2 Lightning Bolt (M11) 146 become 6 Lightning Bolt. This example demonstrates formatting, not a legal deck.
Supported formats
Accepts 4 Card Name, 4x Card Name and 4 x Card Name. Recognised sections are Deck, Mainboard, Maindeck, Commander, Sideboard, Companion and Maybeboard. SB: prefixes are treated as sideboard entries. Blank lines and full-line comments starting with # or // are ignored.
Arena-style trailing set codes and collector numbers, such as (M11) 146, are removed. Other annotations are kept as text. Split card names containing // are preserved. Unknown headings and lines without quantities are flagged, not guessed.
Questions about deck formatting
Does this check Commander legality?
No. It does not look up cards or check colour identity, banned cards, singleton exceptions or deck size rules. The totals include every section, with a separate count shown for each.
Will the output import into MTG Arena?
The output is simple deck-list text. It does not check Arena availability or convert unsupported cards. Try importing and review Arena’s response; this is not a guaranteed Arena converter.
Is my list stored?
No. Processing happens in this browser tab. Leaving or refreshing clears the list. Use Download .txt if you want your own copy.
